Take an old bag shopping! Hothfield History Society proudly announces our new limited edition jute shopping bags exclusively branded for Hothfield. They would make an ideal gift for a loved one or why not treat yourself! If you’ve moved away from Hothfield or have roots in the village, then this would also make an ideal gift for you. These strong bags are a practical size for every day shopping. They are made from quality jute which is sourced from companies in India which have been audited for both social and ethical responsibility, and every bag is fairly traded. Each purchase includes a donation to the History Society. They cost £5 each and are now also for sale at Hothfield Post Office. We are also happy to accept orders for sending a bag by post (including overseas) plus the cost of postage & packing. So don’t delay, bag yours today!	The Hothfield History Society is an informal group of local residents who undertake research about Hothfield’s history. We would welcome additional members to join us - if you are interested please do get in touch with us. Sales of Hothfield History Books and Postcards Looking for ideas for presents with a difference? This is a summary of our publications: • The ‘Hothfield in the 20th Century’ book was produced in 2000 to record village life through the 1900s and costs £10. It is also available on CD for viewing on a computer for £5. • A more recent book 'Hothfield - A History of the Village' transcribes the work of the Reverend Russell who was the vicar in Hothfield in the 1890s who researched everything that he could up to the time of his death. Hardbound copies cost around £85, however, if we get lots of interest we may be able to save a few pounds on the printing costs. It is also available on CD for £10.
